    Description

Estate Find: Estate Find: (14) Miss America Programs  autograph press photos 1963-2001
We live on the Island ( Absecon) half the week and work in the City. This group of Miss America pageant material is from the Estate of Seymour and Shirley Gash, It was sold a few blocks from our house. As a kid I attended one of these pageants as Paul Mann was orchestra leader and my father a drummer that worked with Paul many years. Interestingly I thought the musicians might be listed in the programs however only the musical directors are listed. I had fun going through these but they belong with a collector of this material.
Shirley was involved with the talent process of the pageant. These were her programs and she took notes on the contestants of the talent portion. Some are interesting as they are personal, most are just scheduling and numerical order as well as type of performance. Shirley was talent co-ordination for several of the pageants. Both Shirley and her husband Seymour supported the pageant and other local events financially. I don’t have enough
Space to picture notes so I am going to use the photos to the best of my ability.

Periodically my wife and I attend Estate sales and Estate auctions, as we have accumulated more than we need, the decision to offer some of our finds was born as we realized under Covid came more interest in online purchasing. We have always felt that seeing something in person was a better way to purchase. This became much more difficult over the past year and those who used to go to “in person” sales were forced to look online and have items delivered. As this is a hobby and not the usual part of my film collecting the rules will be quite different. Listings are made over the weekend and items from this section will be shipped only once per week. We have decided to use Priority Mail and will pack as diligently as Films are packed so expect proper packing materials. As with all older items condition is an opinion.
The following will be used to describe condition.
Excellent..no visible defects looks as it did when new
Very Good ...item may show use but is physically intact and undamaged
Good...item is in good condition but may show minor defects which will be noted
We will not list anything in less than good condition without giving very accurate pictures and a description of what makes it less than good.
Sizes we may chose to picture something with the item in order to show size.
Measuring is not always a great idea as,  shape unless a straight line, can vary making height or width a range. Therefore picturing against an object is often the best way to describe it.
Questions are generally answered to the best of my ability however offers and comments unrelated to the actual item are not acceptable. I have no interest in entertaining offers unless Make an offer is available. Comments related specifically to the item for sale are fine but asking what else I might be selling is too close to violating eBay’s policy of offline purchasing and for me I will not answer those.
    Returns
I do not accept returns for buyers remorse. I do my best to describe items
Expensive items are insured so if damaged in the mail which Rarely if ever occurs, the buyer must keep all packaging to help with insurance claims, without doing this it is assumed the buyer damaged the item and damage did not occur during shipping. No refunds can be issued if this procedure is not followed.
Shipping is determined by weight and distance it is not negotiate,  nor will fragile items be combined.
Our goal is having items arrive safely and making shipping and packaging cost effective for us.
Auctions We may choose to auction items when we do not know how to price them
Auctions start at .99 and do not have reserves. They run 7 days
Offers that are accepted will not be able to use any additional coupons  the offer price is the price there are no further reductions under any circumstances.
