Here we have a beautiful Roadmaster AMF Bicycle Badge. It is (NOS) New Old Stock of Nostalgic Reflections, who was commissioned to make these by Roadmaster before their take over by "Pacific Cycles". Read story below.......
The original Schwinn family business had me make all this Schwinn stuff for their customers years ago, but now that the new Schwinn & Roadmaster owners have it, they sent me a cease & desist letter. They are a big company that buys up papers, who are NOT interested in making these parts at all for their customers. What they want to do; is make their fortune off of my efforts by licensing me. I am not interested in getting licensed because I would not be able to make enough money to survive on; by making these small "one off" orders. It would drive the cost up way higher than anyone would be willing to spend for the part.  So............ Some day in the future, you may see a beautiful old Shelby Bicycle or Hawthorne etc. in perfect restored condition at a vintage bike show, and right next to it may be a Schwinn or Roadmaster; that has been re-painted, but you cant get reproduction decals, bike badges, castings, hand grips, head & taillight lenses or parts. Guess which bike will become more collectible???.
The new Schwinn & Roadmaster owners; "Pacific Cycles" are in the process of shooting them selves in the foot. It is too bad, but they don't really care. Greed is what they are after. Nothing else matters.
To answer your questions, I no longer make worthless Schwinn or Roadmaster parts. I still have some bike badges, decals & castings that I made before all this happened, and can sell off my existing stock, but I can't make new stuff for Schwinn or Roadmaster. I was originally commissioned to make the 6000 Roadmaster Bike Badges for their 50th Anniversary bikes; and I did! when Roadmaster was still in business, but now can't make them. "If small businesses like mine, can't make the parts, & can't sell them, then the bikes are WORTHLESS!!!
I recommend restoring a vintage bike that will have some lasting value. Sorry to say Schwinn & Roadmaster are done!!!!, and doomed by their owners.
